Vineyard

The original Shiraz vines were planted in the late 1990’s, with the first wines bottled under the Stable Tales label in 2016.

Stable Tales vineyard is one acre of estate grown vines planted on the 22 acre property. Gently sloping land, 2km from the township of McLaren Vale, the north/south running, vineyard is exposed to coastal breezes which assist in disease management and provide a great office for the day.

minimal mechanical intervention is used in the vineyard.

Gum studded land including fallen trees provide a unique environmental habitat encouraging bird and native animals. Whilst not organic registered, the property operates to organic principles with minimal intervention for disease management. The extensive bird life in the nearby trees assists in insect and snail management, however netting is required prior to harvest to stop them sampling the produce.
